Workplace Violence

There are, on average, 17 murders each week and  33,000 assaults each week. From 1993 until 1998 homicide was the leading cause of workplace violence and over 85% of the victims are management.

How does this relate to the corporate world? Homicide causes approximately 15% reduction in company stock for several weeks, lost works days resulting in lost productivity. The average victims or their family receive awards exceeding $3 million and legal expenses for employers usually exceed $400,000.00

Experts agree that most acts of workplace violence are not random and are avoidable.

Global Security Services, LLC offers programs to help employers prepare for potential workplace violence through the early detection of threatening people.  Our training is specifically designed to fit each company's corporate culture, structure, and needs. We train supervisors and managers to detect early warning signs; defuse potentially violent behavior; plan intervention, disciplinary and termination strategies; and establish reporting systems which enable the referral of substantive threat information to be passed on to management for action. We base our training on pre-incident, incident and post-incident planning.  See Training - Workplace Violence

As part of the Workplace Violence, Global Security provides a seminar for the Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) which instructs on the various techniques for dealing with emotionally upset people. See Training -MOAB

We have significant experience and knowledge in this field and have the capabilities and resources necessary to bring these matters to a quick resolution which includes uncovering identities and intent. During this investigative process we provide each client with an in-depth assessment of their vulnerabilities, while initiating safeguards to protect the company’s brand.
