Our Employee Termination Planning and Exit Strategy course provides training on the proper methods for terminating angry and/or problematic employees.
We train our clients in pre-emptive strategies including employee pre-employment screening, how to assess potentially dangerous employees, and how best to conduct difficult terminations.
Strategies include learning how to arrange a safe environment for the termination meeting, who should be present for the meeting, who should conduct the meeting, what times and days are best for conducting terminations, what steps should be taken prior to termination meetings, human resource considerations, safety aspects both during and after the terminations, and counseling for the manager who is tasked with conducting the meeting.
Guidance as to using behaviorally appropriate language during the termination process is provided. Post-termination strategies are also discussed since termination itself may not resolve the problem.
