Global Security Services, LLC provides clients with
bio-safety related training including an both an introductory and advanced level
course on Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP's). An additional course is provided on
airborne pathogens.
Introduction to Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP’s)
Introductory course on the OSHA “Blood Borne Pathogen Standard” which serves as the basis for implementing policies and practices to minimize employee risk of exposure to BBP's, specifically to Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C virus and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
The training covers occupational exposure to: Blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs Transmission of Blood borne Pathogens, HIV & AIDS, Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis Virus (HVC); occupational exposure practices; standard laboratory practices; and incident response.
Advanced Training on Blood Borne Pathogens
The course is designed to provide a more detailed review of blood borne pathogen exposure control principles and practices, and provide participants with updated information regarding blood borne pathogens and their control.
The program is intended for those who have a reasonable, anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and who have completed the introductory training course on blood borne pathogens.
Airborne Pathogens Training
This course is appropriate for emergency responders who assist individuals having any type of respiratory condition or illness as well as employees in a daily work environment. Course addresses modes of pathogen transportation; SARS; inhalation Anthrax; identification of symptoms; CDC guidelines; high-risk areas and procedures; selection and usage of respiratory protection devices.
